Hi there. new to 5th wheel
landing gear does not operate as my motor home.
appears the 'allowance' for lowering electrically is only
about an inch, or less. Am I doing something wrong???
I have to manually lower the 2 legs, then use the electric portion.
thanks! scott

You have me confused. That electric landing gear should operate either with one or three push buttons, depending on the version/manufacturer - nothing manual unless it's broken then you can override with a crank. Look for something binding in the tubes, dirty electric connections, relays dropping out, bad switches, weak clutches (some)

Every 5er I have seen has about 2' of leg travel. The bottom portion must be adjusted manually when sloping sites are encountered. If your electric motor only moves the legs an inch or two, something is drastically wrong, like Dave stated.

I know on some MHs, you push the button and release and the system continues operating until the rig is level. With your electrically operated front landing gear, are you keeping the button depressed until you have the legs where you want them?

Forgive me for the stupid question, but sometimes the obvious isn't so obvious.
