Cut out the bottom of a 5 gal bucket and the indent in the center of the bottom is the correct size to cutout so it will slip up on the kingpin. Great backup.

Pullrite Super Glide is the same, too. No movement between the pin box and skid plate.

Like jbailey said, the lube plates are nylon, not Teflon(PTFE). If the plate was made of Teflon it would cost over $50 for a 12"X12" piece of material, machining extra.

I had to remove my lube plate because it was making disconnects difficult.

You have a B&W????

If so I understand. Hensley has a 1/8" lube plate and it works well with the B&W.

I have a circa '99 pullrite. It used to irritate me until i removed the lube plate. I figure if it's lasted 15 years, not running with a lube plate won't really hurt much. I spray silicone spray on each connect.
