here is a couple of pics of our old coachman rebuild fifth wheel. fun project over all.
how in the devil does one remove and replace the bulb in the fridge? I'd have to have fingers the size of match sticks to pull that one off.

Looks fantastic. How much does it weight vs. stock and do you have sufficient tire/axle capacity?

I doubt if we added 300 lbs to the weight. paneling is 1/4 thick and new bathroom door is red pine and the water closet sign is cherry. new table is smaller and lighter than original. floor is 3/8 thick.
Ma did all the upholstery and curtains, speaker covers , valances, finish , etc. Fun project for a couple of old, retired odd balls...
we've been rving for 50 years but this will be our first 5er and I guess it has a bit of a learning curve over a trailer. it is only 20 ft so less of a problem.
anything I need to be aware of?

You have a 5er that is all yours and something that you can be really proud of. You did a fantastic job and it looks great.

If this is your first 5th wheel you will be surprised at how much better it tows compared to a TT. Just make sure you take the turns a little wider.
