My frabric on the A& E Slide Topper has had hail damage which now has expanded to the fabric starting to tear. Can you purchase new fabric with out buying a whole new unit? How hard is it to replace? Any quick hints on doing it, cautions, tricks, etc.? Where to buy?

Had the same thing happen to one of mine earlier this year. You can buy the fabric, but I don't know if I would attempt to do it myself. I'm mechanically inclined and I didn't want to do it myself. I ordered mine from our local RV dealer and had them install it. It took them about an hour. It takes at least 2 people to do this, and it is done a lot easier working off of a scaffold than a ladder.
I have watched the local dealer do this and also awnings. There is a lot of work involved.
The toppers are easier than awnings, but it is still a lot of work.

At first blush looking at it, it looks easy. I would have my wife help but still I think you maybe right. Being that I live in the the 5er full time it makes it harder to get it done. At this time it is up on my pad on our property with skirting around it to keep things from freezing. not easy to get it down and then back up for an hours work. I will have to wait until spring maybe then see what I can figure out the next time I am ready to hit the road.

Thanks for the help.
