OK I think I have electrical problems and hopefully someone can help as I am not that savvy on RV stuff except pulling them. My brother spent the weekend here in the RV next to the house using the forced heat (propane). Around 4 in the morning he said he heard beeps and the heat kept kicking of and on. Turned on the lights (HD extension cord to the house) and the lights were dim. Everytime he turned on a light the LP gas meter would beep and flash low voltage. I unplugged the cord and plugged a drill and no problem. No AC power or should I say very weak power inside the RV. The batteries were low and we were just able to get the slides closed. Checked all the fuses in the breaker panel and seem to be OK. Any suggestions would be very helpful. This is a newer (2000) crossroads all american. Well taken care of but I think I am in for some trouble here (but hopefully someone will tell me its something stupid on my part).

Sounds like your converter might not have been getting AC power and the furnace fan etc drained the batteries. I would check to see that the converter is getting AC power.

Also check the fuse or breaker on the converter. Put a meter on the output of the converter while it is plugged in. Bet it reads the same as the batteries, which means no output of the converter. If it needs replacing, be sure to get the newer style "smart" charge technology - - only costs a few dollars more and it will save your batteries.

What did you find out?

I bet it was a blown fuse on your converter!
