Advice please - 1 A/C or 2?

being in Arizona, all the time!! I can only say I wish I had
two units on my fifth wheel. I have just the one 13.5 btu
unit and although for the most part is does just fine, it does
get hot in here when its 114 outside and the sun just begins
to set, then I start to sweat until the sun goes down. On
another note, if this one breaks, and it did once, I have no
back up. A friend of mine, also in Ariziona, has two and one
broke and they still had the other one to rely on until the
repair man got there.
If I had my way....I'd have two.

Thanks for all the input. We went with 2 on a new 2010 Montana. Having the hitch work done next week. We'll be rolling next weekend.

Running 2 on low not only saves money it is also quieter.

And you will up the chances of your unit(s) icing up when running on low. With rare exceptions, we run the rear unit during the day and the front unit at night. Don't usually run both simultaneously but that may change on our way to this years rally in Williams,Az.
