Air Compressor

This may be one of those dumb questions but here it goes.. I have a Viair air compressor that hooks up to the truck's battery. I don't have enough hose to reach the tires on my 5er so could I hook up to the 5er battery and run the compressor? If so, do I need to unhook from from shore while using it? or does that matter? Buying a longer hose is an easy solution just not sure about fittings for the viair etc. Thanks

what are the manufacturers recommended VDC? You need to know that to find your answer. add a quick discount or a shut off switch to the current configuration, then get an extension cord and cut the ends off if you need extra long leads.

VDC? Sorry over my head. It draws about 24-26 amps at 30-50psi if that means anything

12v is 12v. Doesn't matter where you get it from.

You would be better off leaving your trailer plugged in, that way the charger will be replacing the power your taking from your trailer batteries !
