Air Conditioner leaking issue
Hello all again. I am having a "leaking" air conditioner issue in my 5er that I need a little help with. I have done a lot of research on this issue and thought that I corrected it, but evidently have not. Here is the issue:
When the main A/C in the living room runs for an extended period of time, it evidently develops a lot of water from somewhere and when I turn the a/c off at the thermostat it dumps all that water inside the coach. In addition, it sounds like the a/c compressor continues to run even though the unit is off. I have to then flip the breaker to get the compressor to turn off. Once I have flipped the breaker for about an hour or so I will flip it back on and it will run normally.
At first I thought the drain pan has been filling up or the weep holes were clogged. I was also told to raise the nose of the 5er a little more than normal to ensure the drain pan would empty properly. That did not work at all. I disassembled the a/c covers over the weekend and the drain pan is clear and not clogged. I even poured a liter of water into the drain pan to see if I could recreate the problem and no luck. It appears that the water is coming from somewhere else other than the pan. The water pours into the coach from the vent in the a/c unit where the fan is not where the filter is. After inspecting the unit this weekend, I don't see how the water is getting to where it leaks into the rv from the point that it does. There is nothing below the fan that water or condensation would accumulate. Any thoughts?
