I just bought a Trailair Air PIn for our 30' Wildcat 5ver. Does anyone have any experience with this pin? The technology sounds fine, and it was less expensive than the air hitch. I would appreciate hearing from someone who has knowledge of this addition of ours. Thanks

FOP, I had the Trailair air pin installed after our first big trip in our fiver. It has made all the difference in the world for the ride quality of both the truck and fiver. We were having some issues with our fiver because of the rough ride and also getting beat up in the truck. After the air pin install, we don't have any of those issues. It was the single best investment I have made for the fiver. You will not be disappointed.

Thanks for the reply.
We came back from Durango last week, (prior to Air Pin Install) and could not believe the rough ride.
You would think that in today's world, someone would design a bridge the same height as the road.
Thanks again, we will be testing it this weekend with trip to Tombstone.

Where did you stay in Durango? We are going to be up there in July and have reservations at Lightner Creek Campground. We have never been there so we are really looking forward to the trip. We are also staying a few days at Ridgway State Park. Overall, we will be in the area for a week or so. Another thing to consider if you are getting a rough ride is new shocks and air bags on the truck. I put on a set of Bilstein shocks and then added Firestone air bags and the combination with the air pin works really well.

We stayed at Alpen Rose RV Park on Hwy 550 3 miles north of Durango. Nice park, rated very well by Trailer Life. Very friendly people. If you are going to Ouray, or Silverton on Hwy 550, it is one spooky drive. The road is in the mountain, and has NO guardrails due to the plowing of snow. The drop is straight down, and the view is breathtaking. Enjoy.

No comment on the hitch,I dont have one yet. We were just over at Ridgeway state park last Sept. If you can stay in the upper loop. You will like it there. The campground does have showers (quarter machine). In Durango they have an awsome community center that you can get free showers or go swimming if you choose. The Hiway over to Ridgeway is in good shape. We pulled our 37ft.Everest over it with no problems. before you get over the pass you can stop at Silverton as well. When you come into Ouray look aroun and you will see some awsome falls. If you get a chance run over to Telluride and take the free gondola up the ski area, what a view. Have fun......
