I recently purchased a 2005 Alfa 5th Wheel trailer. I need information on the Site Selector Switch. The labels have been removed indicating 30amp or 50amp if the switch is in the up position or down position.

Well, I can't help you with which position is which, or rather I can not tell you.. but I can tell you how to figure it out.

Plug in at a 50 amp site, with the switch in one position turn on both air conditioners and pop a cup of water in the microwave for a minute

If both A/C's remain on.... That is the 50 amp position

If one or both shut off.. 30 amp

You might try alfsteersrvservice.com, and there also is a Alfa owners group at yahoo groups. Alfateers is a group of ex Alfa employees that started their own business after Alfa closed. On my '08 See Ya Gold the 30amp position is the down position. Enjoy your Alfa.

Bob: Thanks for the information on the electrical questions. However, when I tried to go to the suggested website the response was not found or no such site exists. I will try the switch in the "up position" for 50amp and hope that works. Thank you again.

I tried their site and it doesn't come up. Their ph num is 909-428-6775, surely they haven't gone out of business. A lot of good info and discussion at the yahoo group for Alfa owners, try joining it.

Guys,

The site works, you just had a small spelling error.

Site is alfateersrvservice.

Good luck,

Marty
