Has anyone heard if Alpenlite has resumed production yet? If they do, how much this change of ownership will hurt them.

Hope they come back, they have a great product. I think they should have stayed with 5th wheels only. I just read in a rv publication I picked up at Camping World that in 2006, motor home sales accounted for only 5% of total rv sales.

What change in ownership - I just looked at their web site and there was no mention of change in ownership - and there was a full 2007 line-up listed. I know just after they introduced the Peak chassis for their MHs a major RV mfg attemped to buy them - but because WRV is a privately owned co, they could easily reject the offer. In fact WRV has been in the same family for 36yrs now - and has had the same president for the last 18.

Yes, MH sales have probably fallen more than other types of RVs esp the high end units like WRV makes. WRV makes one of the better slide in PU campers as well as 5th wheels that account for the 95% of the market.
