I'm working on a web site with before and after photos of our remodel and it's going to take a little while for me to complete, but I'll post a couple of pairs of photos here as a teaser.

Rear before:

Rear after:

(Still need to install an oak countertop extension in the center of the back lower cabinets, to use as an end table of sorts between the recliners. New recliners are already slipcovered to protect against dirt and cat hair.)

Bedroom before:

Bedroom after:

(oak headboard, thick pillowtop mattress with wool pad will make for much more comfortable sleeping than the original mattress, I'm sure)

FINALLY got the web site done. Had problems with Cox claiming to have created the web space, but the web space wasn't accessible.

Lots of paired before/after photos, plus photos of the remodel process. Some of them have been posted here, but I thought I'd collect them all in one place, and a web site is easier to maintain than a thread here.

Couple more "teaser" photos...

Cox decommissioned their freebie web space so I've set the web site up elsewhere.

The FW's parked under a pole barn (that we built last summer and fall) in the middle of the forest, so there's plenty of motoring to get there every weekend to continue work. We're almost done with the utility shed (generators, tools, water tank, etc.) and are working on the deck and porch around the FW now. I hope to have photos of the FW "barn" soon. We've been working on this project for most of the last year and we're looking forward to being able to enjoy things soon.

Even after we're done with the initial construction phase, though, there will always be work to do. I just hope there's less work and more enjoyment.

I will say that we're both thrilled with how the FW turned out and how perfect it is for a camp in the woods.

Oh your fun times are just around the corner. And I am sure your rehab and barn project in a way could looked be looked at as fun to as far as memories go. It all goes together. But the real fun is coming soon. Good Job on all the hard work. Please post photo's. The Barn sounds awesome. What a great idea !!!!!
