The Anderson Ultimate Hitch is the way to go if you want the best of both worlds. I used one a couple of years ago on another tow vehicle and loved it. No chucking or clanging noise from fifth wheel movement, teflon lined ball socket makes it smooth and is very light for removal. Go to the site and watch the videos, you will be impressed. I wish my newer tow vehicle came with an underbed ball instead of a 5th wheel hitch...I'd still be using the Anderson Ultimate.
Cheers Rick T

Back it goes!

Just printed the shipping label for the Curt to go back to Amazon. Gonna cost me about $38 to ship it, but I just can't justify trying to modify a $380 hitch.
My son is a welder/fabricator, and he was by this evening, said he would build me one this weekend. I'll post pix when it's done.

Way to go. I love it when it's done properly.

A solid hitch not the sloppy pin fits of the newer hitch. I have a 20 year old hitch that I will never replace.
