Not fresh news. Goodyear Marathons were a good tire until the manufacturing was moved to China about 2008. They became just another China Bomb with many failures. A couple years ago Goodyear introduced a US made ST tire, the Endurance and at the same time discontinued the Marathon. So far the Endurance has been reportedly been a good tire. If you still have Marathon tires on your TT/5er - might want to start saving for better tires as they are past due.

FWIW - I don't use GY tire on anything as my luck with that brand has been poor to worse

We have the marathons on our 2016.....no issues after 10,000 miles of travel. I keep them at 80psi and check them several times a trip.

Will consider Goodyear next time too.

Same here. At least 10,000 miles on mine and no problems. Goodyear stopped selling these about 3 years ago when they introduced the Endurance.

For what it's worth trailer tires receive much more abuse than other tires because they are dragged sideways when parking, driven over curbs at speed, always driven near their weight limit and often far beyond their speed rating. Not to mention those who don't regularly check air pressure.

If you join a class action lawsuit you stand to make tens of dollars, (or less), while your settlement makes millions for the lawyers who file the class. If you have actual damages you would be better served filing your own suit rather than joining a class action.

Has the scent of ambulance chasers pandering to the something for nothing crowd. Not exactly America at its best. Sorry for the drift. I believe the Endurance is no longer made. Thanks for the heads up.
