Anyone using the Hensley Trailer Saver Hitch?
I'm considering buying a BD3 or BD5 and just wanted to get some owner opinions on the hitch. I have a 2015 F-350 2wd DRW with the Ford hitch prep.

It's expensive, big, heavy, and provides a great ride. If you use the search bar above, you'll find a bunch of threads on it.,

I always try searching before asking and didn't come with anything. I'll try again.

For 6 years I have used a TS3 and love it. A friend has a BD5 and he is happy after more than a year.

Had a BD3 for 5 years and it has worked well. Wouldn't leave home without it. The BD3's advantage is it comes apart in 2 large pieces and some small parts so it can be moved when needed. I generally get some help from the wife and we can handle it no problem even at our advanced age. It really does help smooth out the ride.

Another BD3 user here. It is fun to watch the trailer move with bumps and not affect the TV. My friends almost remark how smooth the ride is. The Holland Binkley head is a great feature as well. Big $$$$, but IMHO well worth the price of admission.

I have the BD3 with the puck adapter. I think the BD5 does not require the adapter.
I'm at the max hitch capacity of the BD3 with my trailer but Aaron at TS said I'd be fine. The BD5 was not available when I got my hitch nearly 6 years ago.
I LOVE the hitch. The ride for the occupants of the truck and especially the fiver will thank you for it. I'd never tow a fifth wheel without some type of energy absorbing hitch.
Be sure you know the loaded pin weight of your rig (or future rig) and purchase accordingly.
I have had zero issue with it. It has robust positive locking jaws and no slop. Just be sure to keep the glide tubes greased and it will give you years of service.
Safe travels!

Thanks guys. I would rather have the BD3 just for the lower weight but my pin weight now is just under 3400 pounds at 1000 pounds under max trailer weight and the BD3 is rated at 3500.

I have the BD5. The wife and I can move it around, and once close, I can get it locked in by myself. Ride is great. We're 20k unloaded, 4k pin.

We recently replaced our B&W companion with the TrailerSaver TS3 and absolutely love it. Yes it was expensive but the ride is so much better and we believe it will 'save our trailer' . We went over some really bad roads on our trips this year and were amazed at how little we felt in the truck . Really great hitch and well worth what we spent for it. We went with the TS3 and adapter plate for the B&W under bed hitch. We leave ours in the truck as we mainly use the dually for just towing. Have access to a crane if we need to take it out.

I replaced my 2 year old Curt Q25 this spring with a new Trailer Saver TS3. The Q25 is a fine hitch but, the TS3 is (IMHO) so much better. There is no chucking whatsoever with TS3 and like others have said ride is much better. TS3 is big and heavy but my truck is used almost exclusively to pull my 42 ft Montana. TS3 coupled with MORryde Rubber Pin Box, Independent Suspension and Kodiak Disc Brakes make for a very confident and safe pull.

you should also take a look at comfort ride hitches. They where designed by the same person and DONT require a air compressor wiring.

I've been reading about them and there's also a fellow who's local to me that custom builds under the brand Hitch Crafters.

I considered this hitch as well, but just couldn't find enough information about it. Lot's of people using the TS hitches with positive reviews, hard to find data on the Comfort Ride hitches.
After I purchased my BD5, I did, however, see that the MorRyde factory truck/show truck is using a Comfort Ride hitch, so it must be good. Saw that while getting an alignment at their shop, hooked to their show trailer with the pneumatic shocks on the front landing gears.
