If you will post questions of problems with systems and/or appliances in the section titled so, you can get much better help in the matter as all rvs have about the same apparatuses in them. Please give as much info as possible with make & model of any appliances. It is difficult to keep hunting the down the same type problems in all the different class sections and can easily be missed by those that can help the most. Thank you.

Hi RV Wizard! We just purchased a new Grand Junction(35TMS)5er. While reading through the large stack of manuals and instructions, I happened on a small important paragraph in the Norcold manual. It says that if I have normal maintence performed on the unit during the second year of the original warranty I can get an additional three years, totaling five years; upon documentation of said maintence performed by a certified service technician. My point-reading all the literature is really beneficial!

In an effort to encourage centrailizing RV appliance topics, I think it would help if irv2.com would make additional forum topics in that section for the different RV systems.

Examples:
Electrical
Generators and Solar
Heating and Cooling
Proane
Water
Entertainment
Kitchen Appliances

By creating these topics, I think it would bring attention to this area of the forum. Many members now post appliance and system related topics in their specific RV style forum and never visit other parts of the site. A gentle hint from the moderators could also help. Any comments on this idea?

Ken,

Thanks for the suggestion.

Actually, our current thinking is that we have too many forums and that we have diluted ourselves because of it. We're working toward consolidating some that are similar and eliminating a few infrequently used ones.

The brand specific forums in the "OWNER'S CORNER" section should be used for brand specific material. General posts and posts pertaining generically to Motorhome, Towables, Pop-ups, and Slide-ins need to be placed to the appropriate forums for their configuration.

Posts regarding problems with RV Systems & Appliances should be placed in that forum because most of these systems are similar with all RVs.

Unfortunately, which forum a subject fits into appropriately is often a judgment call by the posting member, often times it can be rationalized as fitting properly in several places. Henceforth, the feeling that we're too diluted.

Our moderators will move posts that are obviously misplaced and will create a shortcut in a related forum for those that can fit in multiple locations.

Any thoughts on consolidating the various general discussions and the problem and solutions together in each of the area's, i.e. Motorhome, Trailers, Pop-ups? There really isn't much difference in those topics.

Richard
