Augusta RV Luxe

Alright ladies...enough about the welds. We'll leave that to the gentlemen to discuss. I was at the same RV show this weekend and tnmblair's comment of "Wow" is right on the money! Both units are absolutely beautiful!!! My DH is now convinced that our next RV will be a 5er (one of the Luxe's, to be exact) instead of the Class A he was insisting on. But we have some negotiating to do. I liked the amount of storage space in the kitchen of the 40RE while he liked the half-bath in the 39FB. Also, the brand new Tiffin Class A's they had at the show were still more expensive than the Luxe's, plus the new truck we'll have to buy. Not by much, but still less.

Sherri330 - did you get a chance to speak with either the Augusta president or the dealer that was there (Settle's RV)? I spoke with both and came away impressed with their enthusiasm over the brand as well as the units themselves. If you didn't get a chance to speak with the dealer, he's in Flint Hill VA, if that helps any. He's the closest dealer I've seen that carries the Luxe, without having to hop a plane. I've not researched him yet, but the next stop for us will be to check out his dealership with a visit...when it gets warmer.

I was able to see the luxe at the Milwaukee rv show. It is a very impressive unit. But what one has to keep in mind is how you will use it. Every appliance in the rv is electric, almost. So that makes you dependence on shore power or a very large generator critical. If you do any type of dry camping, you would be hard pressed in this unit. If you stay at campgrounds with electric than you have no problems at all. But again this is just one mans point of view and in no way take away from a beautiful trailer. It just all comes down to what your uses will be.

We did talk quite a bit with the dealer. He was very helpful. He's supposed to be sending us some more information. Our first camping trip of the season is coming up in a couple of weeks and we'll be about an hour and a half from them. We're thinking about paying them a visit. We're not ready for an upgrade just yet. Maybe a couple more years, but since this is a new product line, we are interested in seeing what people have to say about them later. Since our next one will be for fulltiming, we intend to do a lot of research. So far, it looks like we'll be giving the Luxe a lot of attention 👍

I want to say that the 40RE model that I saw at the Hampton RV show was going for around $139000 or so, with the "RV show discount", but don't quote me on that.

Prices

Yup-

I saw 139K for the 40' and 129K for the 39K.

Thlse were their "buy it now" prices marked down from MSRP. I can't recall what those were.
