Bedroom Slideout Repair

After spending only 1 of a 4 month long Snowbird trip and having to return to our North Home due to a medical problem. We discovered the Bedroom slide would not retract. I dis-assemble the Bed and found that the floor on the outside of the slide was wet and rotten. The Hydraulic slide mechanism had been pulled out of the slide floor. I need to remove the slide to replace the floor.
I think I should remove the inside molding frame and move the whole slide out onto a sacffold and move it into my shop to repair it.
Any suggestions?

If you have the shop/space/ability to lift the entire slide unit, probably removing it is the best way to fix. This is a project beyond my ability--would have to have an RV shop do it.
What make/model is the fiver?

You did not say what kind of rv you had,but That is pretty much the way the Winebago tech told me on my Adventure. Are you sure the slide has to come all the way out? Maybe you can just tilt it back enough to work on the floor.

We have a 2010 Keystone Raptor Toy Hauler. I think that the floor was wet before we purchased it 3 years ago but can't prove it. Anyway I'll do it right and won't have to be concerned about again.

Same thing happened to my bro-in-law's bumper pull.

We removed the whole slide-out and laid it on it's back on some sawhorses.
It was a piece of cake after that.
