Just watch the sled pulls. Those 4 x4 surely get the heavy load going. But pulling on 80k on dry pavement is much easier if done right.
I once pulled a 4 x4 CTD Ram pulling s GM 1/2 ton stuck in a ditch. The Ram tried to pull him out and got stuck on ice so I hooked to the Ram and pulled both out while I was also on Ice. My advantage was that I had a standard 6 speed and took it easy and steady.
The same can be accomplished with my cheap XL hooked on to loaded transport on even ground.
