Best month to have a family camping event

I Live in corona california and I have a large family. I'm trying to introduce rving and camping to my family. I have a 40ft Heartland Cyclone 5th wheeler and love camping anytime. Should we go during the hot summer or cold days and night so we can have a nice camp fire. I have more fun when it's not hot. Group of 15 to 20 with kids. What's your thoughts.

Did Death Valley last January. A bit cold but the valley was beautiful and no crowds.

May and October are off months, not so crowded. Both afford moderate weather, can be warm or just a hint of nip in the air. Generally pleasant.

We generally had our family gatherings in October & with my sister's family in February in Zion NP. Weather is cooler, crowds are fewer, and the leaves are awesome (definitely colder in February though, but no crowds at all). We have also gone to Furnace Creek, Death Valley, in February, and it was nice Sub zero at home, and warm enough to swim outside there. Now every April we go to go to Lake Mead for a quick family get away.
