Best "quality built" 5th wheel?
Help us find the best quality built 5'er out there - 36' (+/-)! That's it, nothing too hard or complicated.
Our 2014 Evergreen Bay Hill (36') has had way too many issues (slides stop working (won't go in all the way ugh!), water heater not functioning, fresh water tank deformed and not useable). Problems are ridiculous! We're looking for a more reliable, quality built 5'er that gets us to where we enjoy the trip, rather then dread it. Make my day - give us some ideas! Thanks everyone!
PS - $$ is not an issue. We have 2014 F350 SRW.

All depends on what you want it for. Full timing, occasional vacationing, whatever. Got to be more specific on that.
If you want the absolute best built with all the bells and whistles, your truck won't pull in safely. The unit will go close to 20k GVR.

Most people say money is no issue, then you show them a SpaceCraft, New Horizon, or Continental Coach, and they change their mind hahaha.
OP, your truck is fine the majority of rigs, as in the mass produced units. But you start getting into "the best," and it's not enough.
Also, your problems you list are not Evergreen's problems. Yes, they assembled it, but they bought those parts too. Slide problem may be a wiring issue with light weight circuit breakers or adjustments, the WH is simple I'd bet you, and the tank may be a venting issue and is easily remedied.
My point is, certain things can happen anyway, no matter how much money you throw down.

The best within reason to me is Excel. They make small high quality 5ers.
DRV makes a 34' model but that rig will be too much pin weight probably for your truck.
There are also NuWa trailers that are again being built.
So there you have it - NuWa or Excel.

We love our Heartland Landmark and have been living in it for almost three years. The Landmark line is being totally revamped right now into what is called Landmark 365, a specifically designed unit for full timers. They are warranted 2/5-2 years bumper to bumper and 5 years for the frame.

How about a Rockwood? It's made by Forest River.

They need to tell us what they want. Best Quality is New Horizons, Forksrv/Continental Coach and Space Craft. Unless they have a $200,000+ budget and a big truck they asking wrong question. Used Tetons, Royals are very quality units. They can be purchased at mid range prices due to age. Taken care of they are gems out there. We need more info

If you are willing to pony up $100K+ for the bottom of the line model get a New Horizon.

Affordable depends on one's income. I would not want a Lifestyle and likely not Excel. Not downing them. Lifestyle not wide body.

Best quality and RV don't belong in the same sentence. They all have problems. We are in a Northwood Fox Mountain, the low end for Northwood. 1 year and only one minor issue that was resolved in 1 hr. Does that make our 5th wheel a best quality RV? No, just one that has few issues. The cabinetry while solid is not the upscale type found in $100,000 5'ers. We don't have high gloss full body paint either. It's a basic 5'er that does every thing well and gives us no problems. What I've found from reading RV forums and going to countless RV shows is that, price is not the issue with quality. The current Bay Hill thread with numerous issues by their owners is the best example of not getting what you paid for.
The OP should be asking what's the most reliable 5'er out there? Quality and reliability don't always go hand in hand.

You're just biased! Beauty (and quality) is in the eye of the beholder. Quality has to be looked at from a cost ratio. There is a point where quality is too expensive. That being said, the Rockwood Signature Ultra Light 5th wheels are some of the best quality RVs for the money.
