Best way/time and place to sell 5th wheel

I want to sell my 5th wheel. Here are my thoughts.

I will probably sell it on consignment at a RV dealer in Florida starting this fall. With all the snowbirds in winter I am hoping my plan works.

I do not want to sell the truck as I want to trade it in on another truck.

How have others sold a 5th wheel?

Craigslist and RVTrader have gotten results for me with the two motorhomes I have sold.

Location, timing, location

Sounds like a good plan. That regional, seasonal migration is a force to be reckoned with.

We indicated our intentions to the CG manager where we were staying. They get frequent calls in some markets. Even before we could print a flyer we had interest. Had an earnest (deposit) check before we could move our belongings out. There was a serious back-up buyer as well.

Be well.

Up here in cold/wet Oregon spring is the best time to sell but it sounds like it may be the reverse in Florida. Craigslist seems to be the best way but has it's pitfalls - flakes, scams, etc, etc. So, be ready to do some pre-screening if you go that route.
