Well I don't have it backwards because I don't have a clue if it is true or not....hence the question.... What you mean (I assume) is the person who posted the statement in the first place is wrong.

What you posted was backwards. I don't know if that was what someone else posted or how you understood it when you read it. Either way it was the opposite of what every other poster here has told you.

Somewhere, a poster stated that any detergent if overused, would leave a scum on surfaces--that started the discussion about using Dawn.
A) if you have SeeLevel gauges, there is no internal sensor
B) had used Dawn extensively on previous Suites with internal sensor--always worked better
after a trip with water + Dawn in the tank.
C) the use of 'dihydrogen monoxide' may actually confuse someone with no knowledge of
chemistry--why not just say 'water'?
I had used Dawn extensively in my oilfield work--it seemed to be the only readily available detergent that would cut/remove residue from diesel and diesel-based drilling fluids, and was safe to use inside of small areas. Never had a problem with 'scum' from it.

I never realized the hazards of Dihydrogen Monoxide were so bad.

Read completely thru that website and see if you can come up with the chemical formula for DHMO/dihydrogen monoxide.
Again, read carefully....
Someone please straighten this out before we have a general panic throughout the RV industry and we all end up with 'Pyramids of Doom'
I am surprised the mods have not closed this thread down for even the mention of DHMO, such a subversive material and available everywhere for miscreants to make use of.

Facts About Dihydrogen Monoxide
Seems like someone sure had a lot of time on their hands composing that website! Isn't it funny, how you can take a simple thing, and wordsmith or twist the facts to make it sound like a really bad thing?

A satirical columnist sent the city of Seattle into a panic years ago with an article in his regular humor column about high levels of "dihydrogen monoxide" running off into the Puget Sound.

Way back in history (1975, to be exact) a satirical group called "The People's Bicentennial Commission" typed up the Declaration of Independence in the form of a petition and solicited people on the street to sign it. A majority of those refusing called it "communist", "rabble-rousing" "hippy bait" and many other derogatory things.
Put it in lovely calligraphy on aged parchment and almost every one would recognize it for what it was - a document foundational to our country.
It's all in the presentation - something restaurants learned a long time ago.

I remember that! It goes to prove many people will believe anything if it is told over and over and over without giving any actual thought or ignoring the facts. So many myths in RV'ing are that way. Someone says something and then it is repeated and no nobody thinks or questions it but just believes. Then they repeat it. Your right, it is all in the presentation.
My daddy used to always say "Think boys think. That's what that 10 pound round thing on your shoulders is for".
Now back to our regularly scheduled program.
