Do your own survey

Before you commit to a brand do the following survey. Go to an RV campground or two and count the number of the various brands of trucks towing fifth wheels. No opinions, no personal preferences, just a count. You will find that one brand is the hands down favorite of fifth wheelers.

Out of curiosity what is the price range you're looking at?

Try oilfield hotshot and other commercial haulers. Anyone who ran Ford since 2003 went broke a long time ago. And GM is only popular among RV'ers. Dodge has been the only choice for those make their living with a pickup where 300k miles in a few years is the norm in this period.

Brand loyalty is for dummies when the numbers are otherwise. Add power, fuel economy and engine longevity to the mix and even the 7.3 fanatics are/were deluding themselves.

Wow, all of the gas frackers in NEPA must have missed that... a lot are driving Fords up and down I81 as I go back and forth to work.

Do your homework, check the specs, talk to your dealer service shops, test drive.
Then pick the manufacturer.

Muddypaws is right, just take a look around you and tally up the brand of truck you see pulling a 5th Wheel.

Visit more than just one RV Park. Go look at the parking lots of RV dealerships, keep count.

I am not a devoted brand lover and will not play that game. Just count the trucks and do the math and you will have your answer. That is exactly what I did and the highest number won in my book.

Good Luck.
