Of course they will pull u over in Florida. ..it's illegal there.

And what do you do then? Unhook and leave it where?

The person I know who was ticketed in Fl said the officer allowed him to continue to his destination

Ya I wouldn't think they would make you unhook unless they were complete dinks. There's absolutely nothing wrong with doing it and its legal in most states. I'd claim reciprocity, lol
