You have two systems in a 'self contained' trailer. 12v and 120v.

Running just on the fully charged battery you can run all 12v systems like lights, radio, refrigerator on propane, water pump, propane furnace and blower, slide mechanisms. All these systems will drain the battery in about 5 hours. If you cut back on furnace and blower you can go longer.

When you plug into a 30amp campground outlet you add all the 120v systems plus the converter will convert 120v to 12v so all the 12v systems still work. 120v systems include outlets, TV, A/C, microwave, refrigerator on electric, water heater, plus your battery is being charged. (The same thing happens if you use adaptors to plug into a 15amp house outlet).

But as you should know if plugged in at your house to a 15amp service you can not run all your 120v systems at the same time. And you can not run your A/C at all on 15 amp. There is not enough amperage available to start it.

According to the OP, in the first post, he has two other cords that he can plug in besides the 30 amp shore cord.

Its not as simple as you explained, on his rig.

PO probably added a dedicated circuit to run a heater to bypass using up more amps on the 30 amp circuit....heater, if that is what was used, would use the 20 amp pedistal plug recepetical
