So are you trying to tell me this is a big deal? I am not planning on having the genset right next to the trailer. Most likely it will be in the bed of the pickup so this should help to damper any noise. Any way you want to slice it the noise level from it should be minimal. At half the price of a Honda, I really have nothing to lose.

I have a champion 2000 and love it. Great little gen and very quiet. I only use it during the fall and winter so no need for mine to run the a/c. I think you'll be happy with your purchase and the great thing is if you're not you can put it on craigslist and get pretty much all your money back on it. I think you'll be happy with it though. Take care of it and do proper maintenance....that's the #1 problem with gens. People don't take care of them correctly. My 2000 has hundreds and hundreds of hours on it and still runs like brand new. I also have a 5500 watt china gen I bought for about $400 10 years ago that runs like it's brand new. I attribute all of that to how I care for them.

You need to run your gen once a month under a fulll load if possible ,for at least one hr to keep the brushes functioning properly .

Talked to a guy that runs 17 kettle korn carts and they all run a Champion 3500 Says they all have run 6-7 days a week for over a year with only 1 failure.

Do inverter generators have brushes?

I have been using two of the Champion 2KW inverter generators for several years. So far, my only complaint is the enormous amount of work involved to replace a broken starter pull rope.

I looked in a parts breakdown of my eu2000i, for brushs. Didnt see any.

Had it since 2009, used it a ton.

Don't know how hard it is to take it apart, no need yet.
