Looking for some help. I have a 03 Cardinal 31LE
I did not buy it new but bearly used. The other day I had it on the truck to move it around a little for the winter. When I went to remove it from the truck I heard some new sounds. I opened the hatch and watched as the ext button was pushed. What I found was that the gear box that the motor was attached to was spinning with the motor. Kind of complicated but there are plastic nubs (for lack of a better word)that come out of the gear box and are both sides of the gear box that were supposed to stop the motor from spinning around with the motor was broken off. I really don't know why this part broke off other than crappy design.
Which is very suprising since I have found the rest of the RV to be very well put together. Does anyone know where I could get any info since I have not worked on landing gear before.

Is it an Atwood system? If so, try this link to their website. If it's another brand you might want to try a Google search on the brand to see if they have a website with technical help.

I just called the Forest River parts line and talked to the parts guy. He usually had the parts broken out and could order right from these folks.
