Carpet edging question

This is a "what the heck are we doing?" kinda question, but here goes: We want to upgrade the linoleum in our 5er, but the carpet is modern looking and still in great shape, so we don't think we will replace it. At one end, the carpet meets the linoleum area in a wide arc. Our question is, "How hard will it be to put down new floor and get the edge of the carpet to look as nice as it does now?" Putting the new flooring down is not an issue - we've comfortable with that - it's just that dang carpet/flooring joint that isn't covered with edging we're wondering about.
Thanks for any suggestions!

This edging strip can be curved to follow the kind of contour you describe:
It comes in 12foot lengths at
#131 Flex Contour Pin Gripper Bar - Gold - Greenville Carpet Supply Company

Hope this helps!
