Is Carriage and Redwood one of the same?

By NO means! Carriage built fivers for over 40 years. Went out of business in 2012. Redwood was started right away with the former head of Carriage at the helm. Redwood is all Lippert on an I beam. Carriage is in-house box frame.
Carriage name was sold at the auction and now Carriage is built again but it is just another Crossroads product and a pumped-up version of the Rushmore line by Crossroads.
When the original Carriage closed down, the former employees started Lifestyle LRV under the Evergreen umbrella.
The Lifestyle models through early 2016 are built nearly identical to the former Carriage line with the in-house box frame.
The later Lifestyle and other Evergreen fivers will not be using the box frame. They, too, are going to sub out to Lippert for an I-beam.
There is no affiliation with the former Carriage and Redwood, however, the NEW Carriage and Redwood are both under the Crossroads umbrella. Hope this helps.

The seller has some typos apparently. All the pix depict the new Carriage.....the pic of the front cap is not a Carriage but obviously a Redwood. Redwood does not offer the curbside bedroom slide.

Redwood made a prototype Carriage under the 40RL model number. This was done before Crossroads decided to make the new Carriage under their logo.
So my guess is what you're looking at is the protype model.
