Carriage Cameo
I am looking at the owners forums and so not see any discussions on Carriage 5th wheels, I did an internet search and I know Carriage is out of business but still should be some discussion on older models.
I'm looking at a 2004 Cameo to last me 10 years until I stop towing.

We have a Cameo 2008 34CK3 and full time in it. It is a very sturdy camper and we have been very happy with it. There is a carriage forum website that you can join for a few $$ that is loaded with owner info if you want to do additional research.

My 2008 Carriage trailer (not a Cameo) has had its share of problems which I have fixed, nothing major. We are very happy with the unit and I expect it will be the last RV we will own. We currently have a 10 year horizon.

You say "owned" but yet it seems like you are still towing it. In either event it looks like The Cameo is a great 5th wheel and would serve us well.
We are going to look at the one we are thinking about after the first of the year. I will climb on the roof to check it out. I replaced the roof myself on our current 1994 Gulf Stream. Not a job I would want to do again.
Thank you for your comment. It may have just sealed a deal.

On our 08 Cameo, the roofing used was TPO which is vinyl with a cloth backing. I had to replace the door side slide out roofing 1/4" plywood and TPO (used rubber roofing for replacement). It seems that the TPO edge was exposed under the slide out gutter which allowed wind blown rain to soak the fabric edge and wick across the roofing plywood over a couple of years. The result was dry rotted roofing plywood. Suggestion, when inspecting the roof, listen for plywood cracking and soft spots while walking around and do check the slide roofs. Another thing to check is for wrinkles in the interior ceiling panels. Water stains can be cleaned with a magic sponge eraser.

I really appreciate the heads up on the roofing issue. I will look closely at what you mentioned.
