Perhaps someone didn't pay the hosting bill?

The Carriage forum was not a part of the Carriage Company. I did enjoy this forum from time to time. The Carriage factory is only open four days a week, not a good sign.

Perhaps the 4 day week is just a cost savings measure during the Winter slow orders time. I noticed that Carriage is going to be at the Tampa SuperShow along with other up-scale companies such as NuWa, Mobile Suites and Excel. The orders for the 'top of the line' models and companies do slow in Winter. Now, if they are still on a 4 day week in the Spring, that would be a sign of trouble.

Tom,
They just had one of the best shows in years with many orders and adding a lot of new dealers. They were quite elated with the results.

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that they went to a longer work day with a 4 day a week quite some time ago. It is my understanding that Carriage is still doing quite well.
Hugs, Di

While not a Carriage owner (nice coach, by the way) the forum was it appeared, privately funded and run. The owner possibly got tired of hosting it, passed away or had a health issue. There are some costs that in today's economy, just might have thrown him over the edge financially. It is a bit irresponsible of the owner if he didn't offer it to the members and hope that one of them could carry on - and possibly with posting a phone number, someone might just give him a jingle and make that offer. Good luck - dedicated web sites do offer good advice and friendships that aren't always available on the general forums
