Question Carriage slide problems

We have a 2008 Domani that has slowly started to get sticky slide issues. Have to push it most of the time or toggle the switch for 2-5 minutes until it gets over the "hump".
I know they are out of business. I am traveling toward Indiana and wonder if there are any repair facilities near Elkhart with guys who know the Carriage slides?
Getting tired of pushing or waiting for the day that won't work!

Slides Sticking

Pathvet, I heard of a place called Fox RV in Indiana. They use to do all of the overflow warranty work for Carriage. I read a post today from the National Carriage Travel Club that is holding a rally in Goshen Ind. as we speak and someone said that Fox RV had technicians on site that were doing repairs on Carriages at the fairgrounds. I don't have an address or phone number but this is a start.

Try Fox. Also there is a great Yahoo group for Carriage. There is also a Carriage/Lifestyle form that is helpful.

I have a 2008 Domani and we had problems with our main slide. The slide broke and it would not go in or out. The slide is chain driven by an electric motor. There are 2 chains, one on each end. We were in Tenn. and had a mobile mechanic disconnect the chain that broke. He was not able to fix the chain but we were able to get the slide back in. We had a time finding someone to fix the problem but Candies Campers in Murphysboro, Tn. Came through for us. They were able to replace the broken link and we were on the road. We really lubricated the chains and the slide works 100 times better. So far we haven't had anymore problems.
