We attended the RV Show here in Mpls/St.Paul over the past weekend. Looked at MANY RVs. How to decide?

We visited all of the local dealers. Most of the more popular RV brands ( will still look at all others). Came upon the Cedar Creek brand by Forest River. The wife fell in love with the 36RD5S with the B & B Elegance package. Looked like pretty good construction with some good options. Any Creekers care to chime in? Thanks for any info.

We had a 362 BBS with the rear bedroom for the kids.

Loved the custom paint job; if you get the custom model, they will match up the paint to your truck for one awesome looking rig.

Also liked the service; our air conditioner wasn't working well, and after the second trip to the dealer for repair, the factory just told them to take one off another unit. The repairman was surprised, said no one else would ever tell them to do it.

The downside was some of the attention to detail; glue all over the wallpaper from the slide gasket, wood trim not properly attached, and the "normal" new rig issues.

Overall, I would recommend them.

Been totally satisfied with mine. Only problems we have had were dealer caused ones. Just remember Forest River, like all manufacturers grossly underestimates their weights. so to be sure you have the right truck for the load, use the 20% of the trailers advertised GVWR as the real world pin weight and match the truck to that number.

The weight was a big prob with our fiver. The hitch weight was a lot more than on the sticker. But from what we've seen, it's a problem with a lot of trailers.

We put air bags on the truck and it handled beautifully.

We looked at a lot of manufacturers and my wife also like the Cedar Creek, we got a silverback model though for the double slide bunkhouse. Though the construction was better, nice finish, hung fiberglass walls, the seem to take a lot of pride. I called the factory with questions and they answred them and actually sent me two brochures my dealer didn't have. We placed our order this past week and are looking forward to it.
