In my old, old trailer I'm changing out the lower unit Magnatec 6345, to the Magnatec 7345 converter. This unit is used for sitting in down at the lake, so I don't want to change the converter out for the newer types., and the 7345 is new and was free.

My problem: The 6345 has three wires coming from it (blue, red, white) the 7345 has only 2 wires (blue, white). I have replaced the DC distrubtion panel to go with the 7345.

My question: How do I wire it and why don't I have, to have the red wire.

Thanks

I think I am right on this on the 6345 the red wire is a 6 amp charge lead to the battery, the white is - or ground and the blue was the 45 amp to the fuse panel.Your old converter separated the battery from the fuses with a relay. You may have to add a jumper wire some place because I don't think the new 7345 has the relay.

PS did you get 7345R or the 7345RU? You need the 7345RU to upgrade.
