I am going to have my roof cleaned. The company that I have seen doing it uses a power washer.

The roof is rubber so is it ok to clean it with a power washer?

I would be afraid to use a power washer on a rubber roof. When I had a rubber roof just used elbow grease and Awesome (get it at Dollar Stores) and Dawn dish washing soap. Works well on the fiberglass roof I have now.

I have been using a power washer on my RV for over 40 years without any problems.
Used with common sense it does a exelent job.

There's a big difference in power washers. My general purpose electric washer is 1700 psi and I'd have no qualms about using it on a EPDM roof. The gas powered washers are 3000-3500-3750 psi and I'd be use a wide dispersal nozzle with those or opt For a smaller output machine.

When I had my 5ver I used to take it to a truck wash here in town once a year. They would wash the whole rig & do the roof for $10.00 extra. Did an excellent job. I would come home & apply 303 & be done. Check the pressure rating of the machine they are using to be sure it won't destroy your roof.

Humm...I always cleaned my roof the hard way with a scrub brush and my elbow grease. Took all day and wore me out.

Seems like the power washer is an ok way to go. Now just need to schedule the company to come into the RV park and do their thing.

No one else will wash my roof. I do it with my own hands and soft brush.
A friend bought a 3 year old unit without checking the roof.
He needed a new roof because it was worn out.

I checked my roof yearly and if traveling a lot more often. I usually pay someone to wash it though. I work shutdowns and they are 7 days at 12 hours. Do not have time to wash it.

I've owned several campers over the years and pressure washed the roof on all of them.
No problems.

As said before, use common sense.
Spray only with a wide spray and get just close enough to get the job done.
Use caution around the seams and roof vents.

I have used Wet&Forget twice a year on my RV roof for years. It's effortless and works great.

I take my motorhome to the truck wash after each outing...they have a rain type pressure washer on the ceiling that flood washes the roof..

I get the whole MH washed and rain ex'd.. plus the roof cleaned and tires protectant...52 bucks

I use my Karcher gas powered pressure washer to wash the roof, awnings, slide-out covers, the entire coach, the wheels and wheel wells, generator and diesel engine compartments, my car, my cargo trailer, window screens, solar window covers, outdoor rugs, outdoor chairs, ladders, etc.

You name it, I can wash it with the pressure washer. Use some common sense and you will never have any problems. If you don't have any then stay away from them.
