Coachmen/Onan Warranty Question

My friend has a 2007 Coachmen Adrenaline 400DB. She has tried to get the warranty documents for her vehicle. They were neveere provided. Of course this whole business has been confused by Forest River. She has electrical issues and the finger pointing has begun. Coachmen says anything wrong with the Onan is covered by the Onan Warranty and the other saide says it's covered under the Coachmen warranty. Two things:
1. Are the above facts true or false; who covers
2. Does anyone know where I can get warranty documents for this vehicle. Coachmen won't give her the warranty documents
I would sure appreciate some help with this.

Many thanks

What is a "warranty document?" When I have a warranty issue, they want to see the bill of sale or some proof of when the RV was purchased.

The vehicle is 4 years old. What warranty do they think they have? Manufacturers warranty is generally 1 year. IF you think you bought an extended warranty, contact the selling dealer and ask for the papers for the extended warranty. Then contact them. this IMHO has nothing to do with Onan or Forest River. By the way, Forest River did not own Coachman in 2007 and when the acquired the assets of Coachman they did NOT take over the warranty responsibilities too as I understand. So in real life terms you own an orphan and are on your own. Sorry

I would doubt that any warranties would still be in force at this point. The Coachmen warranty would have been for 12 months and the Onan warranty for 36 months. What was the date of purchase? That document would be all you need. On a possibly 4 year old unit I don't think you would have any coverage left.

I doubt the Onan is still covered under any warranty. My 6000qd is only covered for 2/3 years(full/parts). Most coach warranties are only one year.

Unless you bought some sort of extended warranty which is really just an insurance policy having nothing to do with the original manufacturers. The extended warranty company pays you or the repair facility for repairs and parts as laid out in your particular plan.
