Wife and I start traveling full time on Aug 1. We're looking for a good place to stay 2 months in south Colorado. Looking for suggestions. Need,

1. Cool weather
2. Good wifi and verizon cell phone service (still working)
3. Good monthly rate of $300-600.
4. Space and good road access for 42' 5th wheel.

1. Lakeside with covered boat dock
2. Nice park

May be tough to find, but here's a starting point:

Vallecito Resort | RV Park, Cabins, Seasonal Homes | Durango, Colorado | RV Park

It's located east of Durango at Vallecito Lake.

Hope that helps...

Durango or Pagosa Springs good luck with the price point. With the requirements you list those are the only two towns I can think of. But look to spend at least $25 a night I would think. If you can get as far north as Colorado Springs you may be able to find a better monthly price. Also highly unlikely if not impossible that you would find Lakeside camping since most lakes here are reservoirs controlled by the State and do not offer camping sites.

If you didn't need WiFi or Verizon then you could probably get better deals in the mountains but still not on a lake.

Why you leaving Aledo ?!? It hasn't even hit 100 yet ?!?!

BUT, know that we are jealous - I LOVE Colorado - any part of it !

You might try looking here and here for some ideas to kick around...
then go to google maps or google earth to see overheads and street views...
