Constancy Tires on Fifth Wheel..anyone had one fail?
My 2016 Forest River Vibe had them and my 2016 Coachmen Chaparral also has them. Both warranty reps say they are excellent tires, despite being made in China, and that they have had no complaints about them. They said that they are radial steel belted vs bias ply and that alone reduced the failure rate significantly. Anyone had one of these tires fail? If so, how?

Sorry...
Never heard Of them.
Jayco rep told me the same thing about the Ranier tires on my 5er. Now I am running Sailun S637 14 ply G rated, 235/80R16's.
No more tire worries for me.

Lots of talk on these forums about trailer tires made in China and an across-the-board lack of quality. Take your chances or go with Maxxis, which is not a Chinese tire, or like me and others, go with an LT truck tire. Michelin XPS Ribs are on my three axles and I do not worry about tire issues.

I'm about 90% sure Maxxis tires are made in Thailand using Chinese rubber...... Actually I'm 100% sure..

Maxxis is made in Thailand.
Sailun is another excellent tire (G-rated, steel belts, mine weighed 61 lbs each) - made in China - check forums for reviews.
Consistancy seems to be another "tire baby" - meaning a relatively new branding showing up out of China. This is what happens when the word gets out about "Tow Max" and "Trailer King" - they brand them to something else. The importer seems a bit sketchy: TYRE EXPORT, INC.
Give us the DOT code and we may be able to tell you what else is built there.
Or try finding a "warranty" location in your docs and report back...
IMHO, with the amount of damage that these tires can do, I don't mess around and keep "unknown" tires.

I second this. New names from the same crappy manufacturer just keep you from seeing failure reports. No tire is perfect but some come closer than others and I'll stick with those.
I see lots of posts claiming Maxxis is not available in the area, but Amazon makes them available almost every where.

I will never have China bombs on my rig again. We suffered a delamination with the tire still showing 80PSI on the TPMS......We replaced them with Michelin Ribs. A second tire on the rig was beginning to fail as well. The tech related that the failure had to do with how the tire was constructed. My wife always says "you get what you pay for"
