I believe most Dometics work on AC or propane only--at least mine does. Haven't seen a 3-way in some time, but guess they are around. My 12 cuft fridge will work for lots of days on propane with only a small DC draw--if I didn't use the water pump or lights, could last for about a month using only the fridge.

Thanks for that! I sold it in less than 5 days for $1800. Good riddance Norcold!

The Samsung 197 is on sale at Home Depot right now for $986, a really good price. We are thinking of doing this, our Dometic 1350 has had the seals replaced, the cooling unit replaced, then 55 days ago the entire unit was replaced. 3 days ago the temp started going up and it's been 48 for 2 days. We have a small basement frig, we moved it indoors and are using it. There's a shop in Junction City, OR that does a lot of these conversions and gets rave reviews on this site (mostly motorhomes but they do any rv). It's Amazing Creations. Dometic wants to replace the cooling unit again, I just want to throw in the towel and buy the residential.

I thought I might enjoy the ability to use 12volt/gas/110 but it seems those units arent as good as they should be? Is there a good model for RV outside of using a residential?

Timing demand and price is my take on selling anything. The new owners picked up today to replace their 12 year old 1200. I had it running on a/c in the garage, set on 6, 0 in the freezer and 36 in the refrigerator. Price it right, advertise, and be patient.
