Cougar 281BHSWE reviews??

I'm looking at buying a 2015 Cougar 281BHS and looking for feedback, good or bad.

I've been told that if I wait to factory order the middle of August they will be shipping with added upgrades (awning LED lights, etc).

Thanks for any reviews!

Glad to have you join us.

Not sure about that particular floor plan , but friends who had a 32' Cougar, had issues with the step riser height , nearly 9" compared to 6>7" of most other manufacturers. Access to the roof vent ( poor placement on the up slope ) required a 2 step, ladder to open ., and no wiring in the ceiling to power a Fantastic Vent fan when they went to have one installed.
These may not be problems with this particular floor plan , and theirs was a 2011, so things may have changed.

EDIT: I'll go to the website and see if I can pick out their floor plan.
Furnace ducting to the rear of the 5er and t'stat placement at the top of the stairs, made for a hot bedroom and cool seating at the rear while watching TV.

Re-edit: theirs was a 318SABWE, from the online pictures , I would question the steps on the floor plan your interested in too. No real perspective but, JMHO, for the height difference , I think there should be more than 1 step to go up that far.
Have you been able to tour one of these 5ers? Definitely wouldn't want to order one without a lengthy walk through.

Thanks Skip426. Yes, I have been through both the 281BHS and the 301SAB's.
