Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about the Cougar fifth wheels and in particular, models 292RKS 311RLS? We are looking at upgrading and would really appreciate any comments you good folks might have.
Thanks
Jerryg

Hi there Jerry,
Well, my brother bought a new one last fall. Can't remember the model number, but it has the bunk house in the back with the dinette/coach slide out. He got the chance to use it once last fall and didn't have any issues with it. I think it's very nice and I think you get a lot for your money.
Good luck,
Shaun and Amy

While we didn't have the specific models you listed, we did have a Cougar 5-r (see sig below)for 2 years. It was a nice unit for the money. Plenty of room & lots of storage space. We didn't have any major issues with ours. When we traded it in, it was snapped up by another buyer in less than a week.
The only reason we got out of it was because we wanted a bigger 5-r & that meant a bigger truck. A bigger truck & bigger 5-r put us in the range of a nice MH.

These "brand" questions are always touchy since those who have 'em tend to defend 'em (basic human nature, I guess).
Although I haven't heard a lot about Sunnybrook/Mobile Scout products lately, they (along with Nash/Arctic Fox and Jayco, to name a few) have always had a very good reputation for quality at their price point. Since you are a Sunnybrook owner, I find it interesting that you're looking at a Cougar. I'd be interested in how you feel design, quality of materials, assembly quality, etc. compare between your Sunnybrook and the Cougar you're considering.

We bought a new leftover 2007 291RLS 5'er and just got back from our 4th trip - this one dry camping for 4 nights.
We have NO problems so far at all.
We just LOVE the extra room.

We too bought a new Cougar 291RLS last June. Have been out in it for long weekends almost every other weekend since then and just love it. Have had no issues to speak off.

We have a 291EFS Cougar. It's taken us across country without any problems. We did have a few minor warrenty items that our dealer handled ASAP.
