Cougar or Wildcat?

My wife and I have narrowed down the top two fifth wheels we are considering (relative to size, weight, floorplan, etc) First is a Keystone Cougar 333 mks. Second is Forrest River Wildcat MK333. Any advise? Both are similar as to layout but the Cougar is a little lighter on the pin weight and appears to give a little more bang for the buck. Hence, I'm kinda leaning toward the Cougar.

Those cats are similar units. My friends have a lot of those and they like them. Many are towed with half tons.

Any RV can and will have issues; the key is to stay on top of it with preventative maintenance. Personally, I've seen more issues in quality with Keystone than Forest River.

I purchased a brand new 28bh Wildcat. I think it was a 2003. We only had it two years but we did not have one problem with it.

We purchased new 04 286EFS Cougar & had it for 2 years. No issues for us either.

We have a 2011 327 and have had zero problems with it. I really like the 333, especially the full size shower.

Forest River offers an extra year of warranty for apr $150.00. More CCC in the Wildcat too.

I just took out my new Cougar 337FLS. I will say I love the camper, BUT it seems to be made pretty cheaply. Lots of sharp edges to get scraped on. Double check the heat/air system before you buy it. My A/C fan blows cool air when the heat is on. Keystone is trying to tell me that's by design. That's bullcrap. Overall, i'm happy with the purchase for now.
Good luck.

It's the t-stat. You have a Dometic square t-stat? Change the fan speed to AU and not HI or LO, then go to furnace. Maybe check the owner manual of the t-stat/A/C system.

Maybe we weren't necessarily talking trailers. At my age a true cougar wouldn't be interested in me or, if they would, I doubt I'd be interested in them.
