Countertop scratches

Is there any way to fix scratches on my
kitchen countertop in my Jayco Eagle?

What kind of surface is it?? If it is Corian you should be able to sand the scratches out with some fine sand paper or the green Scorch Brite Pads.

Need more info. Is it a solid counter top like corian or granite, ceramic tile, linoleum....what? Also, how deep are the scratches?

It is Corian with tan and brown flecks. The scratches aren't real deep but noticiable.

You can buy a kit that has all the necessary sand paper and stuff to remove scratches of minor depth. Just google "repair kit for corian" or go to amazon and search for the same thing.

It's really simple to do.

Hope this helps

Our last two trailers have had solid surface counter tops. The 1st was a darker color and showed every little scratch. The 2nd and current one is a real light color and you can hardly see the scratches. I will never own a dark solid surface counter top or own one period. But that's what they put in a lot of RVs these days.
I got tired of looking at the scratches in the last trailer so I read up on how to remove them. Basically you need to sand them out.

I have Corian counter tops in my S&B home that got really badly scratched by a worker setting his tools on the counter. My neighbor worked at the Corian place and he gave me a couple pads for buffing them out...a rougher one and a really fine one...these pads fit on my orbital hand sander. It was an easy job. I would look for a kit as well, such as those shown above.

I just looked at dupont's site - the picture on the front page showing the cutting board and lemon is nearly identical to my kitchen! A surprise...but the methods shown are essentially what I did.
