Gilles,
I have the same trailer as you. There is absolutely no support between the cap and the bedroom wall of your trailer. Luckily for me, I found out about the front cap oil canning before my warranty expired and Fleetwood trailers went bankrupt. My problem was fixed by removing the cap, gluing styrofoam boards together and then molding the supports to fit the cap. There are now three supports behind my cap and the oil canning has stopped but I still have a small amount of rippling. Having this done has also helped my mileage.

Thanks Chemtchr
Since the warranty is out of the question acording to my dealer I will remouved my bedboard to see if we can get in with some blue foam board because removing that BIG FRONT CAP with all does screws and the seal by myselve scare the hell out of me.

Knowing my skills, I would not want to even begin to try to do it myself. All I can tell you is when the cap was removed I saw only the plywood sheets that make up the front wall of the bedroom. I am not sure how you would obtain access through those pieces of plywood. I know that there are a lot of screws holding the cap down but the folks who repaired mine said that was the method recommended by the head service manager at Fleetwood. The cap is made of ABS so it is not as heavy as fiberglass, but undoubtedly a two man task to remove and replace. My only problem after that was the dealership did not seal the cap properly and I had a small water leak. If you are interested in talking to the folks who worked on my 5er they are Affordable RV located in Hesperia, CA.
Good Luck!
