Creaky floor
We had a motor home for 9 years and the flooring always seemed "solid", i.e. there was no creaking when you walked on it.
In our fifth wheel, when you step in some places in the upper section of the RV, i.e. bedroom, bathroom, closet, there are creaks that we never had when we had a motor home. Is this just a normal situation for a fifth wheel?
Do other folks hear creaks and snaps, I assume from the expansion and contraction as the unit heats up or cools down? Again, these seem to be more prevalent in our 5th wheel than they were in the motor home. Is this normal?

Motorhomes have a wrap around Integrated frame. I don't think any of them have upper sections. Yes, creaking floor is just the nature of the beast.

I, too, had to get used to creaking floors when we switched from a motorhome to a 5th wheel. The floor in the motorhome was laminated wood and foam, so it didn't creak.
I see by your sig you have a Mobile Suites. DRV doesn't use laminated construction, so even the sidewalls will creak as the sun warms the rig in the morning, when the rig cools off after sunset and in the wind.

The floor in our Gateway is laminated and 4" thick. It's very solid and doesn't make a sound when you walk. Our old TT had a very thin noisy floor. I think it all depends on how the floor system is constructed.

I can hear my steps but creaking/squeaking sounds - no.
If you have access to the area in question from below, it might be possible to pry the floor up from the floor joists (aluminum tubing) and work some construction adhesive into the gap and put a heavy weight on top of the floor until the glue has cured- just an idea. I know it would drive me nuts too.

Our Motorhome bedroom floor creaks. The rest of it doesn't. Wish I didn't though.
