We have a Curt Q24. Made in China (printed on the box it came in). No problems. Like it better than the Reese hitches we have owned. Fits the standard rails. The base is wider and I believe it mounts in rail tabs outside ones used by "smaller" hitches. It is heavy and I would advise not trying to install/remove by yourself. If I remember, the instructions state to disassemble the hitch to make this job easier. We use a ceiling mounted winch. Works great! It is stored on a movers dolly. Lubricate it as directed. Hope it will be the last 5th hitch we own.

I know, people say to purchase the Fifth wheel first, but I haven't decided what I want yet, so I went with something I won't have an issue with weight.
I'm looking at the curt 24 model.

Thanks
I'm a retired guy and come from the commercial haulers side so I frequent more haulers type forums than RV forums.
The Curt Q25 or Pullrite for one ton DRW pickups and a SAF-Holland/Binkley hitch for 3500/4500/5500 flat bed trucks is by far the most popular with haulers for their 5th wheel flatbed trailers and goose pin trailers.
The B&W seems popular on some rv websites but is considered to lite for this kind of work.

I would say you won't go wrong with a Curt/Pulrite or a B&W for pulling a RV trailer.

Hope all this childish wizzing which happens on every Curt thread by the same culprits doesn't scare you off.
Most folks are here to help you..... some want to talk down the product. good luck on your choice

I've been towing 13,000 lbs with my Curt 20k. I don't see any indication that they try to hide that it's made in China. That's kind of a paranoid assumption. Like the poster says, every box says made in china as per us customs law. The hitch tows very well and is very easy to connect. The worst that happens is sometimes the lever is tight if I back in, so I have to put it in drive to take the pressure off the hitch to disconnect. As I mentioned, the hitch is noisy - it makes a constant creaking sound. The tech guys at Curt were very helpful and helped me track it to some internal bushings. There are 3 heavy bushings and 2 of them are making noise. Some grease fixed the noise, but the bushings have taken some wear after 12,000 miles and will need to be replaced. So they're not perfect but I feel confident after 4 months of good performance and a lot of mountain miles.

Certainly not a glowing report but if you are happy that's great.
