IMHO - Heartland builds better than average units. I think Toy Haulers in general are built better as they seem more solid.

Check the axle and tire capacities to make sure they are not skimping on these two key componants of the trailer.

Can't speak for the 2812, but I am happy with the 4100. Heartland customer service has been great. They have stepped up several times when the dealer failed, and made everything right. They have even shipped equipment and parts to me direct, so I didn't have to make the 120 mi r/t to drop off and later pick up my rig. I decided after my rig was at the dealer for 6 weeks to repair an electrical problem that they had created themselves on a previous service, that I would make any repairs myself, that are within my abilities. All of my issues have been 3rd party equipment so far.
