Dealer Discounts - DRV Suites

Hello 5th wheelers

We sold our 2014 Dutchstar MH December 2014. We fulltimed in it for about a year. We miss the life style so much we have decided to re enter. This round, we are looking to get a new DRV on a part time basis.

Does anyone have an idea what discount percent off MSRP can be attained for a DRV ? With the Newmar, we found 29 percent the best we could do. I am hoping some previous DRV buyers could chime in here.

Thank you for any help you can give us.

Hopefully I'll be picking ours up here in the next couple of weeks. I can't remember right off hand, but I want to say it was 25-28% off. I'll check back in when I know for certain.

Jburg. Congratulations on your purchase. I will be interested in hearing about your purchase when you pickup in a few weeks.

Lots of enjoyment heading your way.

Kansas RV Center (formerly the NuWa factory) now sells DRV among other brands. Their prices are supposed to be very competitive though I don't follow the market that closely.

Look at RVsForLess.Net who is the DRV dealer for Knoxville, TN. He's the largest in sales for any one location DRV dealer, and I assume price is one reason he's #1.

They have a very small, low cost facility and they specialize in selling fifth wheel trailers. Butch is a man of the highest character, and he owns an exceptionally good dealership.

Their prices are noted online, and Butch always has a number of good late model fifth wheel trailer trade in's. Heartland's Landmark is his lesser brand, and they're also a very attractive unit.

First, you do know that Thor (Heartland) has purchased DRV?

The DRV owners site (SOITC) has been down for some time, or you could check there. I had heard several mention 30% as top discount, but there can be some discripancy in the MSRP figures. Not sure how Thor purchase may affect this.

There may be some info available from DRV owners at www.5thwheelsforum.com in the DRV/Doubletree section.

What kind of truck do you need to be legal and pull those heavy monsters?
They are certainly the nicest and heaviest I have seen.

Within front and rear axle ratings and towing. Over GVWR but that is because 14K is the limit on a class 3 truck. Combined weight 32,540# had 100 gallons of fresh water on board. 39TKSB3 MobileSuites.
