I own one...the guy that suggested a Demco is a hauler for one of the RV trailer companies. One of the upsides is you can pull any 5th wheel and still have the slider work as the hitch has built in rails to slide along the pin box. Other sliders use a 'wedge' or 'key' that attaches to the pin that then turns the slider mechanism - one per 5er.
The hitch is solid, the locking pin in front of the jaws is a great safety item...it is difficult to high-hitch and if/when you do it is very
obvious and easy to re-hitch. Other than a high hitch, is is nearly impossible to miss a hitch.
Another upside is not having to worry about over-turning when maneuvering - I got caught in a narrow street with no way out and I turned around in the street with no problem. Told my wife that the hitch just paid for itself.
Customer service is superb!
Downside? It is a bit heavy, compared to the Reese slider I replaced.
I would buy another and recommend them for others!
The reason Cummins, that you hear nothing about them is because we are all out using them!
